Quilt & Handiwork Show
This year's Quilt & Handiwork Show will be held at
St. Teresa's Catholic Church
Friday June 7th, 6pm to 8pm
Saturday June 8th, 10am to 3pm and 5pm to 8pm.
Set up for the Quilt and Handiwork show will be from
5-6pm Friday June 8, 2012.
The Quilt Show has been an annual part of our Town & Country Days for 9 years now. There are usually approximately 90 pieces on exhibit every year from 30 different area quilters. The quilts range from some very old items to some that have been reconstructed as well as many new items. This is an exhibit and though we do not choose winners, the Grand Marshall chooses one that gets awarded a ribbon for best of show. We usually have around 200 people come through the show. We have piano music by musicians around the area and we usually have a demonstration of some quilting project going on for the spectators to watch. It has grown a lot over the years and is a real asset to Town & Country Days. |
